KWE 2019

The third edition of the event took place from August 30 to September 2, 2019, at the Place de l'Assemblée-Nationale in Quebec City.

The event KWE! Meet with the Indigenous Peoples’ aims to put the light on the 11 Indigenous Nations present in Quebec, on the territory of the Huron-Wendat Nation, through artistic and musical performances, workshops on traditional knowledge, discussions on the issues and realities that affect the Indigenous communities and Nations in Quebec, a cultural crossroads as well as several spaces that allow for a rapprochement between peoples with the objective of promoting reconciliation.

In order to overcome certain shortcomings in accessing the various financial resources available from governmental and paragovernmental bodies as well as from various sponsors, KWE! Meet with Indigenous Peoples is now registered as a non-profit organization (NPO). It is under this legal form that the 2019 edition has been organized, also counting on various partnerships, collaborators and supports.
